Got kids aged 5 or under? Have some fun, get creative with them and bring their masterpieces to the Corsley Show!

Division F (Children's Classes) Class 95 A "little cuckoo" shape decorated with leaves, seeds and other natural material.

Download the little cuckoo outline here. Print it out (Max size A4) and get stuck in! You could have an adventure in the countryside, park, or your garden. Gather together leaves, seeds and other natural material to make a collage with the things you have found. You could also raid the larder for pasta, lentils, pulses, etc to make your collage! There's lots of fun to be had with your little one - but the collage must be their own work! Don't forget to enter the masterpiece - visit the Horticulture and Crafts page to find out how.

Volunteer

Fancy manning the gate for an hour? Marshalling vehicles in the car park? Want to help put the Show up – or even take it down? Putting on the Show involves an awful lot of people and there’s always lots to do in the run-up, so don’t be shy – get in contact, we’d love to hear from you!

About the show

Over 100 years ago, on the 25th August 1909 some enterprising gents from Corsley held a meeting to organise a fête and sports day which they agreed would be held on 11th September 1909. Amongst the attractions were a three-mile race, a football tournament, a cricket match, greasy pole and pillow fight.

This year, the Corsley Show Committee are proud to hold the 99th Show (the event wasn't’t held during both World Wars). The attractions are a bit different, but we still retain the village fête appeal of yesteryear.

Our aim is to entertain you with a fun-filled day out for all the family. Who grew the biggest marrow, the most beautiful dahlia? Who won the kids’ egg-and-spoon race? Mums and dads can join in the tug o’war against the kids too! Will Corsley thrash Warminster in the Smash, Bash, Piano Trash? Who won the Dressage competition? Bring along your pampered pooch – the Dog Show caters for pedigrees, all sorts and there’s even a class for ‘Best Six Legs’ (that’s you and your dog – it’s not a freak show!). Fancy a go at winning a barrel of beer? Get a team of six together for the Moles Brewery Championship Tug o’ War. All sounding a bit too energetic? No problem, there’s the beer tent where you can relax with your favourite tipple whilst the Cley Hill Stompers entertain you with some rock‘n’roll, or the Tea Tent where you can while away the afternoon stuffing your face with a cream tea, or you can just wander round browsing (and buying!) some fabulous local produce and crafts to take home. Kids can enjoy donkey rides, tractor-drawn trailer rides, get up-close-and-personal to some furry friends and enjoy some great funfair activities!

This year, we're incredibly excited that Tractor Ted will be joining us for the day for a fun-filled day of real-life farm fun! Digger Tim is also making an appearance, giving his JCB a proper workout!

We're running two competitions for the kids – a Discovery Trail with a top prize of a family ticket to Longleat Safari Park and 2nd and 3rd prizes of £10 each; a raffle to win a family ticket to a Tractor Ted event at Bowood House and 2nd and 3rd prizes sharing £100 worth of Tractor Ted goodies!

We hope you enjoy our lovely Show!
