HORTICULTURE AND CRAFT SHOW Notes

Do not bring exhibits to the above registration. Exhibits can only be accepted at the Marquee on Sunday 28th Aug 2-7pm and also on Show Day 6:45- 9:00am.

The Marquee will be closed at 9:00am on Show Day to enable judging to take place – please do not be late with your entries!! The Marquee will be cleared at 9:15am prompt.

The Marquee will be set up to allocate spaces solely for entries received by 22nd August 2011. Entries after that date will NOT be accepted.

Previous experience has shown that the high humidity of the Marquee can cause severe deterioration of paper and card based exhibits, including photographs, if left overnight. Fragile exhibits should be brought to the Marquee on Show Day. The committee regrets it can accept no responsibility for loss of or damage to exhibits.

Exhibitors in the Handicraft Division are responsible for providing their own hanging/display materials.

Please ensure that all jams, jellies, marmalades and chutneys are labelled and dated where appropriate.

All food items are required under Health & Safety rules to be covered.

Please place all exhibitors’ cards face down so that the exhibitors’ numbers are not visible to the judges.

The committee strongly encourages anonymous explanatory notes to accompany exhibits. For example, to name the variety of fruit, vegetable or flower entries or to explain stitches and other features in a craft item or ingredients in a homecraft item. Please make the notes no bigger than A5.
